its been a pretty easy week, but weve talked a little bit about character, plot, and setting in a story. think about a character from a story (including books, shows, movies, comics, anime, plays, games, etc.) that is like you. write about why you chose this character. think about what things happen to them (plot) that are similar to things that have happened to you. think about where their story takes place (setting) and how its like the places your life has taken you. and talk about what character traits they have, that you also have (character). are they brave? smart? funny? sleepy? athletic? etc. are you also those traits?\nyou can write this in paragraph form, or just write separate sentences. try to write at least 3 sentences about each story element (character, setting, plot). this should be easy as long as you talk about both the character and yourself.\nexample for mr. egan:\na good example of a character that is just like me is indiana jones. he and i are both teachers, so we spend a lot of time in a school classroom filled with students. we both assign and grade writing while trying to help our students learn the skills they need to write these projects well. when were at our schools, our day - to - day life has a lot of the same plot events. we wake up, go to school, teach, go home, grade assignments, and think about finding lost treasure in another place thats less boring than home.\ndr. jones and i share lots of similarities in our personalities. were both adventurous and nerdy, and we both hate snakes. were both older and grumpy. and we got into teaching because we like talking to other people and showing them things were passionate about. both he and i like helping people to better themselves. plus we both wear a hat.
