toms thoughts!
i got a laptop!
i was chosen by my principal as one of ten students that get to try out using a new school laptop for all of my classes.
i have to take it with me to each class and bring it home with me at the end of the day. this was my first day trying it out. i was pretty nervous at the start. what if the battery died? what if i dropped it?
i was surprised that everything went really great. it was strange doing assignments on the laptop while the other kids were writing in their notebooks. it was awesome of not having to carry around a bunch of books and notebooks! i couldnt believe how much easier it was to do my homework for english class tonight! instead of writing a response in my notebook, i opened a computer and just added the notes into my response.
im excited to see how tomorrow goes!

which of the following blog post comments would be most effective?
cool!
i know you were nervous about the battery running out in the middle of class. did you have to charge it during the day?
have you done any research in english class about different forms of poetry?
what a neat idea! i would like to try this out, too.
To determine the most effective blog comment, we analyze each option:
- "Cool!" is too brief and doesn't engage with the content.
- The comment about the battery and charging is about a minor concern in the post and not the main focus of the blog (which is the positive experience with the laptop for schoolwork).
- The comment about poetry research is off - topic as the blog is about using a laptop for school, not English class poetry research.
- "What a neat idea! I would like to try this out, too." engages with the main idea of the blog (using a laptop for schoolwork, the positive experience) and shows interest in trying the idea, making it relevant and effective.
