for each of the following situations, write your own persuasive sentences, using ethos, pathos or logos. you can use more than one technique per sentence, but you must use all of them at least once in the examples. also identify which one(s) you have tried to implement. the first one has been done for you as an example.
example: you are trying to sell a particular brand of toothpaste called sparkle.
3 out of 4 people surveyed said that they prefer our brand to any other. if you care about your teeth, make the wise choice and buy sparkle before the tooth - decay sets in.

1. the principal has cancelled the prom. you are trying to persuade him/her to reconsider his/her decision.

Ethos appeals to ethics and credibility, pathos to emotions, and logos to logic. For each situation, we create persuasive sentences using combinations of these techniques.

7. "Teacher, typing my essay will make it more legible and professional - looking. It will also be easier for me to make edits. (Logos - practical benefits)"
